Reflection - Session 5(digital literacy strategies (encoding/decoding)

Reflect on your experiences as a student learning one of your subjects in high school. Give examples of the different types of digital literacy strategies (encoding/decoding) that you were required to use.  How effective was your teacher’s use of visuals in enhancing the learning in your class?  Refer to some of the guidelines and principles that we read about in Chapter 8.

When I was high school, my computer instructor were teaching  us  how to write a computer program language. I observed that we were encoding the code in a rule by typing to software editor and then it was shown as an output and we were decoding the that process by evaluating the result.  Furthermore ,we were using some special videos to improve our programming language . it is also a kind of decoding process since we  evaluated ,understood and learned how to write a programming language. It allows students to understand effectively and  visually by using some visual materials. It helped instructor  to enhance the learning process thanks to the visual contents and principles. As a guideline and principles, we were seeing  or observing the relationship between result and input process. While working as an group, our encouraging  creativity was improving.
